This
recently restored, charming farmhouse lies amid the green Tuscan hills with
lovely views across the surrounding countryside.
On the ground floor of the house there are 6
pretty apartments, all bright, fresh and well kept. Each apartment consists
of a living room with kitchen corner (cooker and fridge), one double
bedroom and a bathroom with shower; each with its own sitting out area. A
double sofa bed is available in the living room of each apartment
The English speaking owners live in the first
floor apartment.
Guests share the use of the swimming pool (20 x 10
m) which is set in a sunny and panoramic position. On a clear day the
famous town of Cortona (12 kilometres away) is visible from the property.
There is a communal laundry (5 € per wash) and a
BBQ at the guests’ disposal.
The property is reached by a short unmade road. In
the nearest village, Foiano della Chiana (4 kilometres away), there are
shops, a supermarket, a bank etc.
There is plenty to see in this lovely area:
Castiglione del Lago (12 km) a pretty lakeside town with a fine old castle
that has a picturesque weekly market in the old centre; the Etruscan town
of Cortona, Perugia (56 km), Assisi, Montepulciano (30 km) and Siena (60
km) are all easy to visit.
